A native of Philadelphia, Pa., Gordon plays the saxello, saxophone, drums and piano. He is the son of jazz tenor saxophonist Irv Gordon, who accompanied Billie Holiday, Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett and other renowned performers. The Gordons moved from Philadelphia to Las Vegas when Rocky was young and when work was plentiful for musicians in that town. For more information on Rocky Gordon, go online to www.rockygordon.com.

The dances may be lively and joyful or gentle and graceful. From the first chord to the final bow or curtsey, dancers are inspired by the driving reels, jaunty jigs, snappy strathspeys or lilting slow airs. And thanks to the Royal Scottish Country Dance Society, any dancer can be welcomed by a local group almost anywhere in the world.
