Lane Restrictions On Lone Mountain Road Between Jones And Torrey Pines Begin Monday Morning
Construction Part Of Lone Mountain Storm Drain Project
|
| |
|
Beginning Monday morning, Nov. 28, there will be road restrictions on Lone Mountain Road, between Jones Boulevard and Torrey Pines Drive. This segment of Lone Mountain Road will be down to one lane, which will be controlled by flaggers between the hours of 7 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Motorists are advised to expect delays. Alternate routes of Craig or Ann roads are suggested. The road will be restored to two lanes by 4 p.m. each day to provide extra roadway capacity for the heavy afternoon peak travel time. The restrictions will take place Monday through Friday and are expected to last until Dec. 19.
This new traffic control setup will be used by the contractor to expedite installation of a new storm drain along this stretch of road.
This construction is part of a $9 million Lone Mountain Storm Drain project by the city of Las Vegas and the Clark County Regional Flood Control District that began in January and is scheduled to be completed in the summer of 2012.
The contractor is Perini Construction. Las Vegas Paving is performing this portion of the work. Funding for the project comes from the Clark County Regional Flood Control District.
