Three adults and one child are being assisted by the American Red Cross tonight after their apartment in the Baltimore Garden apartments caught fire. There were no reported injuries in connection with the incident. Firefighters from Las Vegas and Clark County responded to 321 W. Baltimore Ave. at 8:03 Monday night. On arrival, flames and smoke were showing from a downstairs apartment in the two-story apartment building. The building was evacuated as firefighters doused the flames. Firefighters found the kitchen on fire and had it out in less than five minutes. They were able to hold the fire to the kitchen; smoke did spread throughout the rest of the apartment and to the unit above. Damage was estimated at $5,000. The fire was ruled accidental by fire investigators. Residents in other apartments were allowed to return to their units in less than an hour. Cooking fires are the leading cause of fires in Las Vegas as well as the rest of the country. END ## LVFR/PEIO-TRS
