Fire Damages Auto Repair Shop
No Reported Injuries During Incident.

Las Vegas firefighters responded to the “Quick Lube & Tune” auto repair shop located at 2424 N. Jones Blvd. (Smoke Ranch/Jones) at 12:23 Sunday morning after someone reported smoke coming from the business.

On arrival, flames and smoke were showing from the one-story wood frame/stucco repair shop. The business was closed, so firefighters had to force their way into the business by cutting large holes in the garage doors on the building. Once inside, firefighters had the fire extinguished in just a few minutes.

There was heat and smoke damage throughout the business. There was heavy fire damage to the bottom of the roof inside the business. Two vehicles parked inside the business were also destroyed. Damage was estimated at $250,000.

The exact cause of the fire is undetermined. Fire investigators believe the fire started in an area of the business where computer equipment and electrical equipment such as battery chargers were located. Damage in that area was so extensive that an exact cause of the fire could not be determined.

There were no injuries reported during the incident.
