Williams, this course will teach basic acting concepts while mining the material of participant’s very own lives. Using autobiographical elements and stories from each student's life experiences, students will create monologues, scenes, and improvisations, while utilizing common theatrical techniques and tools. To develop technical skills, special emphasis will be placed on training in vocal placement, intonation and projection. For substantive skills, the class will emphasize motivation, connection with audience and character development.
