The Las Vegas City Council is scheduled to recognize Art, Architecture and Design Month at the Wednesday, April 2, City Council meeting that will begin following the 8:30 a.m. Redevelopment Agency meeting in City Hall council chambers, located at 495 S. Main St.
More than a dozen events are planned throughout April in celebration of art, architecture and design including art exhibits, lectures and the high school design awards. For a complete list of all the events visit the Southern Nevada Art and Design Collaborative website, www.snadc.org.
In addition, Councilman Steven D. Ross will recognize National Tartan Day and the upcoming Scottish festival at Floyd Lamb Park at Tule Springs.
Councilman Bob Coffin will recognize three citizens who recently helped pull a man from a burning apartment at the Veteran’s Village housing complex in Ward 3.
Councilwoman Lois Tarkanian is scheduled to recognize the Northwest Stake of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints for service work in the community.
Also Councilman Bob Beers will recognize the April Citizen of the Month and the City Council will acknowledge a team of city employees for outstanding work.
