New Internet Tool Helps You Find Just The Right Park

Are you looking for a park near your home with swings or maybe a reservable park for your upcoming company picnic? Finding those things just got a whole lot easier with a new online service.

The city’s Web site, http://www.lasvegasnevada.gov/, now features an interactive park finding service that lets you search for parks by address and features. Search results are placed in an easy-to-read grid. The search results can also be placed on an interactive map, which allows viewers to use it in satellite or street map view.

Future phases of the online function will include adding additional search categories including senior centers, golf courses and recreational facilities.

Visit the Leisure Services Web page to try out the new feature or click here .

The city of Las Vegas Web site features a number of online payment services such as sewer bill payment, parking ticket payment and leisure class registration and payment. Other online services include archived video of the Las Vegas City Council meetings, permit and business license search, submission of citizen complaints and traffic cameras. Wireless Internet connection is also available in a number of city facilities.

The city's Web site has been named one of the top four city sites in the country.
