Description: More than 100 Las Vegas-area residents from 33 former countries, took the Oath of Allegiance and became U.S. citizens during a special live ceremony hosted by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and the city of Las Vegas. The naturalization ceremony is the highlight of the city’s “Celebrate America” initiative and took place on Thursday, June 30, 2011 in the Las Vegas City Hall Council Chambers.
