City Hall Artwork

City Hall features a number of original works of art in addition to two art galleries that will feature rotating exhibits. City Hall is open Monday through Thursday, 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Closed Friday – Sunday and holidays.

Chamber GalleryChamber Gallery - 2nd floor near the Human Resources Department.
Current exhibit:
“Our Las Vegas: A Cultural Animation Project “
April 25-July 18, free admission and open to the public.
This collaborative exhibition features a representative work from each Emergency Arts gallery|creative space participating in the “Our Las Vegas” spring exhibition at Emergency Arts with simultaneous artist receptions May 31.

Grand Gallery - 1st floor lobby
Current exhibit:
"Sculptures in Glass” by Barbara and Larry Domsky
Through May 30
Experimenting with many techniques in glass working, they are self-taught in the medium of hot-glass and fusion. Together they developed innovative techniques and a diverse style in glass and metal as an art form, producing sculpture which is collected throughout the United States and internationally.

Other striking architectural features can be found in and around the building including the backlit sculpted glass “waterfall” staircase found in the lobby, 33 solar trees that shade the plaza in front of City Hall and artistically demonstrate the city’s commitment to renewable energy, and LED lighting on the front of the building that can display artistic patterns.
