City of Las Vegas Business License Instructions

Accommodation Facility

This license is required when a commercial business other than a licensed childcare establishment provides limited facilities for the care of the children of customers on the premises for a period not to exceed three & 1/2 hours in any 24-hour period.

1.      Confirm that the proposed business location is within the Las Vegas city limits and properly zoned for this activity.  For information on planning, zoning, and building requirements, call (702) 229-6301 or visit our Development Services Center at 731 South 4th Street.

2.      Meet code requirements as outlined in Las Vegas Municipal Code 6.24.350 through 6.24.410, as well as specific code requirements as outlined in City of Las Vegas Regulations and Standards for Childcare Facilities.    

3.      All applicants for this type of business must be investigated and approved for suitability.  Please contact the Childcare Licensing Section at 229-6281 for a complete list of accommodation facility code requirements, application forms and license fees.
