Medical Firm

Medical Firm or Medical Office comprised of one or more professionals created for the purpose of practicing the profession for which a license, certificate, registration, permit or similar type of authorization is issued by a regulatory body as defined in NRS title 54, chapter 622 or regulated pursuant to the Nevada Supreme Court Rules, for any type of compensation.

1.      Confirm that the business location is within the Las Vegas city limits and that the location is properly zoned for this use. 

2.      Make application for a Nevada sales tax permit and state business license from the Nevada Department of Taxation located at 555 East Washington Avenue, Las Vegas, Nevada 89101.  Call (702) 486-2300 for additional information. 

3.      Complete a wastewater profile for non-residential establishments.  This can be accomplished at the time the business license application is submitted.  Call the City of Las Vegas Environmental Division at (702) 229-6594 for additional information.

4.      30 days prior to commencing business, bring a completed license application and all applicable items listed above to the Business Services Division, 400 Stewart Avenue, 3^rd Floor (City Hall).

5.      All fees are due at the time the license application is submitted.  There is a non-refundable application fee of $30.00, and the semi-annual license fee is calculated based upon the number of professionals working at the location, at a rate of $100.00 for the first professional and $75.00 for each additional professional.

6.      General business license applications are sent to the Planning Department and Fire Department for comment and inspection.  Upon approval from these agencies and completion of all items listed above, the Business Services Division will issue your business license.
