Above, students gather on a trip to the University of Southern California. Batteries Included provides access to out-of-school educational activities and opportunities for youth engagement, diverse life skills, and employment training.

The Batteries Included Youth Initiative is a unique collaboration between the city of Las Vegas, Clark County School District and Nevada Partners that represents a combined commitment to excellence and achievement. The intent of the Batteries Included Initiative is to ensure Las Vegas teens reach their greatest potential by providing after-school educational activities focused on leadership, community service, career planning and preparing for college.

Youth Neighborhood Association Partnership Program

Announcments

  • The Batteries Included Summer Internship deadline to apply is April 7, 2015.
  • Batteries Included Participants make sure you complete your designated hours for the high school external credit. The end of the semester is around the corner
  • In order to participate in the 2015 Red Carpet Youth Achievement Gala, all Batteries Included participants must complete and attend the Red Carpet Gala Etiquette Classes.
  • The Nomination Process for the 2015 Red Carpet Youth Achievement Gala will be closing on Feb. 24, 2015. All application need to be emailed to smitchell@lasvegasnevada.gov
  • The Batteries Included Program is currently looking for young people who would like to serve on the 2015 Summer Circuit Committee. If you are interested or would like more information email: lkilgore@lasvegasnevada.gov
