Public Meetings Scheduled To Discuss Summerlin Parkway Improvements

Upcoming public meetings will provide an opportunity to learn more about the upcoming Summerlin Parkway transportation improvement project.

To address the growing traffic needs of the community,  the city of Las Vegas, the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada , the Nevada Department of Transportation  and the Federal Highway Administration  are working together to create improvements on the Summerlin Parkway between the 215 Beltway and U.S. 95.

The project looks to include the addition of two more lanes in each direction. Other potential improvements may include lighting, soundwalls, landscaping, a regional trail and “intelligent transportation systems” such as ramp metering and dynamic message boards like those seen along Interstate 15.

Meetings are scheduled on the following days and will take place from 4 to 7 p.m. with a formal presentation taking place at 5:30 p.m.
