Planning and Development Department Training Session Tuesday, Jan. 22, 5 p.m. Development Services Center, 731 S. Fourth Street The city of Las Vegas Planning & Development Department has scheduled customer training sessions about updates and revisions to the city’s zoning codes and master and special area plans. These quarterly sessions will enable customers to stay current as well as ask questions about adopted changes to the codes and plans that occur during the year. There will be many vendors on hand to help you reach yours goals. We will have personal trainers, nutritionists, healthy food demonstrations, smoking cessation information, blood pressure checks, demonstrational workout classes and much more.
Teen Town Hall Thursday, Jan. 31, 9 a.m. Live on KCLV Channel 2 Councilman Ricki Y. Barlow chats with area students live on KCLV Channel 2. The annual event provides a forum for high school students to voice their concerns and opinions about current events including school violence, parental relationships, drugs and peer pressure.
