Construction Of New Fire Station Now Underway

The fast-growing Centennial Hills area will soon have expanded emergency services with the addition of a temporary fire station. The development of station #101 is an economical interim step to help provide emergency services while station #48 is completed.

Station #101 will consist of a modular office, dormitory, canopy for fire equipment and house an intermediate four-person fire engine crew for Fire Station #48, which is now under construction. The temporary station will be located at 9043 Ackerman Ave. and should be finished by summer.

Fire station #48 is currently being built on the northeast corner of Elkhorn and Fort Apache roads and is slated for completion by the end of 2008.
