Northwest Park Adds New Multi-Purpose Fields

Over the past several years, the game of lacrosse has grown in popularity, especially here in Las Vegas; however many local teams have not had dedicated fields on which to play. Local lacrosse teams will now have fields designed specifically for their sport as phase II of Teton Trails Park opens. The park is located at 7850 N. Bradley Road at the intersection of Bradley Road and Grand Teton.

The multi-purpose fields that can accommodate lacrosse, soccer and more were part of a more than $3 million improvement project at the park, which already includes amenities such as a walking path, playground, water play area, picnic areas and plenty of open space.

Councilman Steven D. Ross will kick-off the opening of the new fields on from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Friday, June 27, with an old-fashioned ice cream social. There will also be great music and an exhibition game by the Las Vegas Lacrosse League .
