City Program Offers Opportunity To Easily Resolve Parking Citations

Las Vegas residents with outstanding parking citations are eligible to take part in a moratorium being offered by the city of Las Vegas Parking and Hearings Office. The parking citation moratorium will give registered car owners with late fees, holds on their registration or who are on the “boot list” an opportunity to pay outstanding fines. To encourage people to take care of their overdue citations during this time, the city will waive all late fees.
The moratorium will take place from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 29 through July 31 and August 5 through August 7. To take advantage of the moratorium, people with overdue parking citations should go to the city of Las Vegas Parking and Hearings Office located at 416 N. 7th Street.
Individuals must appear in person and have the citation number or adequate vehicle information that includes the license plate number or vehicle identification number (VIN #). Fax requests for payments will be accepted as long as all information is complete and received during the dates of the moratorium. No personal or business checks will be accepted. Only cash, credit or debit cards, money orders and cashier’s checks will be accepted as forms of payment.
Accounts that have been turned over to the collection agency, Credit Bureau Central, or that have a DMV fee attached will be required to pay an additional $10 above the original citation amount to cover collection fees.
For more information regarding the parking citation moratorium, contact the city of Las Vegas Parking and Hearings Office at (702) 229 4700.
