13th Annual Vegas Valley Book Festival

The festival is expected to feature more than 165 authors and 100 events, including panel discussions, keynote speakers, readings, book signings, workshops, vendor exhibits, art exhibitions, spoken word performances and other special programs for a diversity of genres, ages and cultural backgrounds. There will be more than 100 young adult authors – the largest free gathering of young adult authors in the United States – for panel discussions and book signings, as well as special entertainment, authors and activities for children, and a plethora of authors popular with adults. The festival site will host five stages with readings, entertainment and poetry; a food court with a variety of local food trucks; children’s activities; art and vendor exhibits; interactive writing projects; and many other special programs. The festival is a large community event and volunteers are needed to assist in many areas. The Vegas Valley Book Festival is the largest literary event in Las Vegas. Now in its 13th year, the festival is free and open to the public, thanks to support from the producing partners:  the city of Las Vegas; Las Vegas-Clark County Library District; the Beverly Rogers, Carol C. Harter Black Mountain Institute at UNLV; the local chapter of AIGA, the professional association for design; Las Vegas Review-Journal; Nevada Humanities; and Barnes & Noble.
