It’s Not Too Early To Start Planning Your Fall Activities


The city has many fall and Halloween activities planned for everyone in your family to enjoy. Below are just a few of the upcoming events. For a complete listing of events, please download the Halloween Happenings Brochure.

Lunch with Witch Wanda (ages 3-8)
Saturday, October 11, 1 to 3 p.m. Registration closes October 4.
Fee: $12
Cimarron Rose Community Center, 5591 N. Cimarron Road, (702) 229-1607.
Enjoy Halloween-shaped sandwiches and witches’ brew, play games, paint a pumpkin and have your photo taken with Witch Wanda. Only parent and paid child may attend.

Monster Mania Carnival (all ages)
Friday, October 17, 6:30 to 8 p.m.
Fee: $5
Becker Community School, 9110 Hillpointe Road, (702) 229-2482.
Play carnival games, win prizes and more. All ages welcome!

Oktoberfest Celebration & Luncheon (ages 50+)
Wednesday, October 22, noon. Advance registration required.
Fee: $5
Derfelt Senior Citizens Center, 3343 W. Washington Ave., (702) 229-6601.
Enjoy bratwurst, sauerkraut, hot German potato salad, sweet and sour beans and Black Forest cake.

Howling Halloween Carnival (all ages)
Friday, October 24, 4 to 7 p.m.
Fee: $5 per wristband
Mirabelli Community Center, 6200 Hargrove Ave., (702) 229-6359.
Enjoy the haunted house and carnival games with candy prizes, eating contest, pumpkin patch extravaganza, performers and more. Treats available for purchase. Cosponsored with Charleston Heights and Johnson community schools.

Autumn Harvest Potluck (ages 50+)
Tuesday, October 28, noon to 2 p.m.
Fee: Free with dish to share. Sign up at front desk for the dish you will bring.
Centennial Hills Active Adult Center, 6601 N. Buffalo Drive, (702) 229-1702.

Free Haunted Halloween Carnival (all ages)
Wednesday, October 29, 6 to 8 p.m.
Doolittle Community Center, 1950 North J Street, (702) 229-6374.
Bring the family and friends to enjoy carnival games, a haunted house and lots of fun.
