City’s New Sustainability Web Pages Offers Information On Green Living

Have you ever wondered what the term “sustainability” means or how to recycle more in your home? There is now a resource that provides those answers and much more. The city of Las Vegas recently launched a series of Web pages devoted to the topic of sustainability. The pages can be found at www.lasvegasnevada.gov/sustaininglasvegas.
Sustainability is one of the city’s main initiatives and it is defined as a way to ensure that current and future generations will enjoy the quality of life we have all worked so hard to achieve. It includes every aspect of our lives and it takes the whole community to make it work.
The new Web pages provide a resource for consumers, businesses and other government entities on the definition of sustainability, the benefits of sustainable activities and information on “green” topics such as water conservation, air quality, green building practices, energy and recycling. Each topic page includes information on how consumers can do their part and what the city is doing to be “greener.”
