Neighborhood Stabilization Plan

The Housing and Economic Recovery Act, 2008 (HERA) appropriated $3.92 billion nationwide for emergency assistance for the redevelopment of abandoned and foreclosed homes and residential properties. This grant program is referred to as the Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP).

The city of Las Vegas received $20.6 in NSP grants. In order to receive the NSP allocation, the city must submit a Substantial Amendment to its Fiscal Year 2008-2009 Action Plan. This Substantial Amendment presents the housing activities which will be undertaken through the NSP by the city for a period of 18 months of an approved contract with U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) expended by June 30, 2013.
