Fall And Holiday Events

Now that the weather is cooling off, plan to grab the family and enjoy one of the many activities and events that the city of Las Vegas has planned this fall. There are events planned for children, families and seniors. Below is just a small sample of what is planned during the next two months. Many Thankful Thoughts Workshop (ages 5-15) Wednesday, Nov. 19, 5 to 6 p.m. Advance registration required. Fee: $15 Becker Community School, 9110 Hillpointe Road, (702) 229-2482 Make a mini-book with thoughts to share at Thanksgiving. Enjoy a corn-on-the-cob eating contest.
I Am So Thankful Family Workshop (all ages) Wednesday, Nov. 19, 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Register in advance. Holiday Make and Take Workshop (ages 3+) Friday, Dec. 5, 6:30 to 8 p.m. Advance registration required. Fee: $15 Becker Community School, 9110 Hillpointe Road, (702) 229-2482. Create holiday crafts and memories. Take family photos with a special guest, too.
Holiday Craft Show (all ages) Saturday, Dec. 6, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Free admission for shoppers; Vendors $15 per table, $20 with electricity Mirabelli Community Center, 6200 Hargrove Ave., (702) 229-6359. All crafts are handmade and nothing is priced over $35. Vendors, call to reserve space.
