There’s Still Time To Participate In Numerous Holiday Events Offered By The City

The holiday season is now upon us, but before you know it, it will be time to ring in the New Year. That doesn’t mean you can’t still participate in a number of different holiday activities. Below is just a few of the events planned for the coming weeks, but an entire list can be found online in our Holiday Happenings brochure .
Holiday Party (ages 50+) Thursday, Dec. 18, 4 p.m. Advance registration required. Fee: $8 Centennial Hills Active Adult Center, 6601 N. Buffalo Drive, (702) 229-1702.
Breakfast With Santa (ages 3 to 8) Friday, Dec. 19, 9 to 11 a.m. Advance reservation required. Fee: $8, plus $5 unisex gift to exchange. Mirabelli Community Center, 6200 Hargrove Ave., (702) 229-6359.
Free Holiday Get-A-Way (all ages) Friday, Dec. 19, 5:30 to 8 p.m. Stupak Community Center, 300 W. Boston Ave., (702) 229-2488. Enjoy entertainment, pictures with Santa and other festivities.
Razzle Bam Boom — Family Christmas Show (all ages) Saturday, Dec. 20, 2 p.m. Tickets: $3 Charleston Heights Arts Center, 800 S. Brush Street, (702) 229-6383. Bring the family to enjoy this holiday musical extravaganza. Specializing in children’s and family entertainment, this award-winning duo has toured the United States and Canada, performing in schools, hospitals and theme parks. Put a sparkle in your day and join us for a rollicking afternoon of your favorite holiday songs.
La Posada / December Fiesta (all ages) Presented With La Nueva 103.5 FM, Recuerdo 99.3 FM and Univision Radio 870 AM. Saturday, Dec. 20, 5 to 8 p.m. Free admission East Las Vegas Community Senior Center, 250 N. Eastern Ave., (702) 229-1515. Join Mayor Pro Tem Gary Reese as he celebrates the holidays with a traditional Hispanic custom involving friends, family and the whole community. All are welcome to enjoy live entertainment, traditional Posada, food vendors, children’s raffle and a special visit from Santa Claus.
