The grand opening of Las Vegas' newest park, the Viper Lacrosse Fields, is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 7 at 11 a.m. Councilman Steven D. Ross will be on hand for the event. The park is located at 6105 N. Durango Drive in Ward 6 and includes two lighted, artificial turf lacrosse fields. This phase of the park also includes restrooms with a future phase to include a tot lot.

The Viper Lacrosse Fields are one component of the Thunderbird Family Sports Complex that will also feature the Raptor Play Park and the proposed Eagle Little League Park in the future. The naming of the entire complex and its components was done to recognize the many families in Las Vegas associated with Nellis Air Force Base.
