In-Person Registration Begins Soon For Primary Election

Las Vegas residents who have not yet registered to vote, but who wish to cast a ballot in the city’s Primary Election can register in person in the City Clerk’s office beginning Sunday, March 8, through Tuesday, March 17. Individuals who have not registered by March 17 will be unable to vote during the Primary Election on April 7.

The City Clerk’s Office will be open for in-person registration from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, March 8, and from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, March 9, through Thursday, March 12. Extended hours of 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. will be offered Friday, March 13, through Tuesday, March 17. The City Clerk’s Office is located on the first floor of Las Vegas City Hall, 400 Stewart Ave.

The city’s Primary Election will be held on Tuesday, April 7, 2009, and the General Election, if required, will be held on Tuesday, June 2, 2009. Offices up for election are City Council representatives for Wards 4 and 6, and Municipal Court Judge for Department 1.
