Lorenzi Park Reopening

Lorenzi Park will re-open on June 27 with a celebration from 7 to 10 p.m. including fireworks, fun and games, local school performances, jump house, free popsicles and bottled water (while supplies last).
The east half of the 60-acre Lorenzi Park closed in April 2008 to make way for an $11.4 million improvement project. Upgrades on the park, which is located at 3333 W. Washington Avenue, include renovated tennis courts and softball fields, upgraded field lighting, and construction of a new special events area, new playground and additional parking spaces.
Funding for this improvement project was provided by the Bureau of Land Management, through the sale of public lands as authorized by the Southern Nevada Public Lands Management Act.
