I want to thank all of you who took the time to attend the recent Town Hall meetings relating to the reopening of F Street. I hope you felt these meetings were informative and you received answers to your questions. For those of you who weren't able to attend, I encourage you to visit the F Street Connection Web page, which serves as a "one-stop" location for information on F Street. Information is also available on Facebook and on Twitter at Fstreetlasvegas.

I wanted to make you aware of another important meeting having to do with the reopening of F Street. The Nevada Department of Transportation, in cooperation with the city of Las Vegas and the Federal Highway Administration, is conducting a public information meeting to provide information and receive comments on reopening F Street.

In compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969, NDOT is initiating a review of the proposed project's potential environmental impacts.

The meeting will take place from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, June 9, at the Doolittle Community Center, Rooms A and B, located at 1950 N. J Street. There will be a brief project presentation at 5:30 p.m. followed by a short comment period. Before and after the presentation at 5:30 p.m., the meeting will be conducted in an "open house" format to provide you with an opportunity to view the displays and individually discuss the project with project representatives.

Your comments may be submitted for the public record in writing at the meeting or verbally to a court reporter who will be available throughout the meeting. In addition to any comments received at the meeting, written or email comments will be accepted through 5 p.m., Friday, June 25, 2010.
