Road Work Activities Planned For Rancho Drive Between Bonanza and U.S. 95
Traffic Lane Restrictions Start Saturday, March 5
Starting early Saturday morning, March 5, and continuing through the weekend, the city of Las Vegas will be completing traffic capacity improvements on Rancho Drive, immediately south of the intersection with Bonanza Road. The work will consist of median island modifications, pavement removal and replacement, traffic delineation modifications and traffic signal upgrades. Lane restrictions will be in effect through the weekend, and motorists are encouraged to utilize Valley View Boulevard or Martin Luther King Boulevard for north-south travel.
Road work activities will be completed by midday Sunday, March 6, although a new northbound left turn lane at the Bonanza intersection will not be opened to traffic until the traffic signal modifications are completed, which is planned to be no later than Monday morning, March 7.
Las Vegas Paving is the contractor. City of Las Vegas Department of Operations and Maintenance personnel are managing the project, and city of Las Vegas Public Works staff is completing the signal and signage upgrades. Funding for this project is provided by the city of Las Vegas.
Ramp Closure Update
As part of the Nevada Department of Transportation's U.S. 95 Northwest Widening Project, the closure of the westbound Lake Mead off-ramp (82B) from U.S. 95 North has been delayed. A notification will be sent out with new information when it becomes available.
