Las Vegas City Clerk's Office Open Extended Hours This Weekend For Voter Registration
Registration Closes On Tuesday
               
All city of Las Vegas residents who wish to cast a ballot in the city's primary election have until Tuesday, March 15, to register to vote. Individuals who have not registered to vote by March 15 will be unable to vote during early voting, March 19 through April 1, or on primary election day, scheduled for April 5.

The City Clerk's office will be open for voter registration through 5:30 p.m. today, March 10, and extended hours, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., on Friday, March 11, through Sunday, March 13; and Monday and Tuesday, March 14 and 15, from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. The City Clerk's office is located on the first floor of Las Vegas City Hall, 400 Stewart Ave.

The March 15 deadline also applies to changes in registration. If a person has moved since he or she originally registered, it is necessary to notify the Clark County Election Department of the change by calling 455-VOTE (455-8683).

The city's primary election will be held on Tuesday, April 5. During early voting and on election day, all city voters can vote for mayor and municipal judges for departments 2, 3 and 5. Residents living in Wards 1, 3 and 5 can vote for a City Council candidate who would represent their respective areas.

Rainbow Company Youth Theatre Presents "Metamorphoses"
Performances Take Place April 1-10 At Reed Whipple Cultural Center

The Rainbow Company Youth Theatre will perform Mary Zimmerman's highly acclaimed "Metamorphoses" April 1-10 at the Reed Whipple Cultural Center, located at 821 Las Vegas Blvd., North, directly across from Cashman Field. Fourth-graders through adults will be mesmerized by this contemporary re-telling of best-known Greek myths.

Each year Rainbow Company Student Ensemble members have the opportunity to design all aspects of one production, under the mentorship of professional designers. This particular show will be designed by students Caitlin Cypher, Michaela Geldmacher, Oliver Kompst, Brianna Lehtinen, Lexi Phillips, Brittany Srp, and Josh Stackhouse. 

Show times are 7 p.m. on April 1, 2, 7, 8, 9, and 2 p.m. on April 3, 9, 10.  Tickets are $7 for adults, $5 for teens and seniors, and $3 for children age 12 and younger. To purchase tickets, go online or call 229-6553 or 229-6383.
