City Council Approves $2.5 Million Transfer For Design, Outreach

At the Sept. 21, City Council meeting, the council heard two items relating to F Street. These two items allowed for the transfer of $2.5 million from the RDA to fund the design and public outreach to reopen F Street.  This design work and public outreach have been going on for about a year-and-a-half at this stage, so the items on Wednesday's agendas were really more of a formality.  The items were both approved.

The Nevada Legislature in 2009 passed Assembly Bill 304.  It required the city of Las Vegas to contract for the design of the project to reopen F Street using $2.5 million in funds from the RDA.  This resolution before the City Council and the RDA authorizes the transfer of the RDA funds to the city for this purpose.
