May 31, 2012

I hope you are planning to join me for the 3rd Annual Classics, Customs, All Riding for Scholarships (CCARS) Car Show Scholarship Fundraiser this Saturday, June 2, downtown on 7th Street. There will be a variety of food, immaculate vehicles on display, and entertainment for all to enjoy.  It's a wonderful feeling to support youth who are seeking higher education, so please come out and support the Southern Nevada Hispanic Employment Program (SNHEP) Youth Council and Latino Peace Officers so we can send as many youth as possible on to college! See all the details on my Web page.

Check out the City Council June 6 agenda items of interest to Ward 5 residents here.  To see the entire City Council agenda, click here.

I hope you will join me for Coffee with the Councilman on Thursday, June 7, 9-10 a.m. at Starbucks, located at 751 N. Rancho Drive. Let's meet to discuss what we can do together to improve Ward 5!

If you are interested in starting a nonprofit organization, or want to work smarter with your existing nonprofit, or gain more knowledge about funding for nonprofits, then the free workshop I am hosting on Thursday, June 7, is for you.  Join me and Amber Wynn, an expert in nonprofit operation, at City Hall in the Council Chambers, 495 S. Main St., from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.  Learn more on my Web page. RSVP for the workshop by e-mailing to
