June 12, 2012

I wanted to share some information from the Latin Chamber of Commerce Community Foundation for those of you who have teens or know teens who are looking for summer work!

Teens ages 14-19 seeking summer work, work readiness training and other exciting opportunities to advance their careers are invited to attend a mandatory orientation (parents are invited).

The program begins with a two-week, work readiness class followed by a paid work experience. We closely work with participating employers who will give substantive work experience to help you prepare for your careers, see the importance of education and training, and learn how to be a good employee.

The orientation will take place Wednesday, June 13, from noon to 7 p.m. at the Rafael Rivera Center located at 2900 E. Stewart Ave.

Call 385-7368 to register and obtain more information. The event is a partnership with the Latin Chamber of Commerce, Walmart, and Workforce Connections.
