The city of Las Vegas has issued a Request for Proposals for a “Construction Manager At Risk” for the Westside School Historic Rehabilitation Project. General contractors that meet the qualifications listed in Nevada Revised Statutes 338.1691(3) are invited to submit written proposals for the performance of construction-manager-at-risk services for the project. Interested parties are invited to a conference at 9 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 23, in the third-floor Purchasing & Contracts Division conference room at City Hall, 495 S. Main St. The purpose of the conference is to discuss the terms, conditions and requirements of the proposal. Get more details in the news release. The deadline for submission of proposals is 1:30 p.m. Sept. 18.
I want to remind you about the annual Ward 5 Back-to-School Fair and community celebration Saturday, Aug. 18, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Doolittle Community Center. Free childhood immunization shots will be available from staff of the Southern Nevada Health District, so residents should bring their child's immunization records in order to participate.
