CITY COUNCIL MEETING NOV. 7
At the beginning of the City Council meeting Wednesday, I will be honoring Las Vegas Starbucks employees as citizens of the month for the good works they do. The council meeting agenda items of interest are listed here. The complete Nov. 7 council meeting agenda is available online. I hope you will join me for the City Council meeting in Council Chambers on the second floor of City Hall, 495 S. Main St., if your schedule permits.
CELEBRATE OUR VETERANS NOV. 8
Please also join me in honoring all military veterans and their families at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 8. We will gather for light refreshments and an outdoor flag ceremony and drill team exhibition by the Rancho High School ROTC at the flagpole in front of the Dula Gymnasium, located at 441 E. Bonanza Road. I hope all our military veterans and their families will attend and allow us to honor them for their service and sacrifice. Following the flag ceremony, the annual luncheon honoring veteran members of the Las Vegas Senior Center will be held at the adjacent center. Advance registration is required for the luncheon. See the details here or call 229-6454 for more information.
