CHRISTMAS TREE RECYCLING OPPORTUNITY
Free Christmas tree recycling is offered again this season Dec. 26-Jan. 15. Your tree can improve the public parks as mulch instead of adding to the garbage in the local landfill! See the flier for all the details and drop off locations.

NEW WARD BOUNDARIES
New city of Las Vegas ward boundaries became official Dec. 10. See the map to determine if your ward and City Council representative have changed. If your residence or business now is located in a different ward, subscribe to that ward's newsletter on the ward's Web page. If you are not sure which ward is yours, use the online search.

F STREET PROJECT UPDATE
At last week’s City Council meeting, a final funding agreement for F Street was approved. Advertising for bids should take place in early January. Construction is tentatively planned for late spring 2013. Final renderings of the F Street graphic tile artwork can be found here. Due to copyright issues, some minor changes were made, but nothing substantial. I want to thank all of you for your support and patience as it relates to this project!

FIRST FRIDAY CELEBRATION JAN. 4

NO 'COFFEE WITH THE COUNCILMAN' IN JANUARY
There will be no "Coffee With The Councilman" in January. Please join me for coffee and conversation on Thursday, Feb. 7, from 9 to 10 a.m. at Starbucks, located at 751 N. Rancho Drive at Bonanza Road. Let's discuss our vision for Ward 5 and what we can do together to achieve those goals. This is a great way to talk with me about exciting events I am planning this year! There are so many ways to be involved with our community, so join me for a cup of coffee or tea – on me!
