NEIGHBORHOOD PARTNERS FUND GRANTS
The Neighborhood Partners Fund (NPF) is designed to assist in improving the livability of city neighborhoods through community-matched funding for neighborhood improvement projects. The NPF program grants up to $5,000, which must be matched by the neighborhood with cash, volunteer labor, donated supplies, equipment or professional services. When residents volunteer for improvement projects, they meet their neighbors and work side by side. Communication improves, relationships are formed and community spirit is developed. Such is the impact of this type of small grants neighborhood funding. Grant applications are being accepted now. A workshop on applying for these grants will be held Thursday, April 4, 5:30-7:30 p.m. in conference room 2 of the East Las Vegas Community/Senior Center at 250 N. Eastern Ave. The deadline to submit completed applications is April 18. For more information, go online or call 229-6881.
