YNAPP GRANT REGISTRATION NOW OPEN
Applicants Encouraged To Attend One Of Two Grant Workshops
The city of Las Vegas’ annual Youth Neighborhood Association Partnership Program (YNAPP) grant application process is open now through Nov. 22, 2013. YNAPP offers grants for up to $1,000 for youth to create and implement neighborhood-based service learning projects of their own design. Applicants are encouraged to attend one of two workshops, scheduled for Sept. 25 and Oct. 1 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at City Hall, located at 495 S. Main St. See all the details here. FREE TENNIS IN SEPTEMBER
Register now for free tennis clinics throughout September at www.ustanevada.com/. Any Southern Nevada child or adult age 3 and older may participate and receive a free USTA-Nevada membership or USTA Junior membership (ages 10 and younger). The city of Las Vegas is participating in National Preparedness Month in September by offering a variety of ways for the public to receive tips and other important information. SOUTHERN NEVADA STRONG OPEN HOUSE
Southern Nevada Strong invites you to an open house from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, at the Pearson Community Center, located at 1625 W. Carey Ave. Southern Nevada Strong is a regional planning initiative to better integrate transportation, housing, and job opportunities throughout Southern Nevada. The project is a one-time community project to develop a regional plan to improve the region's economic resilience and competitiveness, and community input is sought. Take part in this open house and participate at the interactive stations while learning how Southern Nevada Strong is working to improve our region. Activities will be available for kids.
