Join Ward 6 Councilman Steve Ross, City Manager Betsy Fretwell, Lied Middle School staff and students, Nevada Division of Forestry representatives and city staff for an Arbor Day celebration and tree planting.

Ward 6 Shredding Event
Saturday, May 2, 10 a.m. to noon.
Free and open to the public.
Centennial Hills Active Adult Center, 6601 N. Buffalo Drive, East Parking Lot.
Bring your personal papers that need to be shredded. Complimentary shredding takes place in the Centennial Hills Community Center east parking lot. Limit of five boxes per vehicle. This is a safe and convenient way to get rid of old documents.

Ward 6 Movie in the Park 
Friday, May 15, 7:30 p.m.
Free and open to the public.
Centennial Hills Park Amphitheatre, 7101 N. Buffalo Drive at Deer Springs Way.
Enjoy the family film "Annie" in the park. Bring your blankets or folding chairs to be more comfortable. A food truck will be available. Call 702-229-6154 for more information. See the flier.

Ward 6 Fishing Derby
Saturday, June 13, 7:30 a.m.
Free and open to the public.
Floyd Lamb Park at Tule Springs, 9200 Tule Springs Road, 702-229-8100.
Join Councilman Ross and the Nevada Department of Wildlife for a free fishing day.  Boy Scouts will be in attendance doing a pancade flip from 8 to 10 a.m. Look for updates on this event as the date gets closer.

Ward 6 Back-to-School Fair and Movie in the Park
Friday, Aug. 7, 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.
Free and open to the public.
Centennial Hills Park, 7101 N. Buffalo Drive at Deer Springs Way.
Join Councilman Ross for the Back-to-School Fair and Movie in the Park.  Free school supplies will be given out while supplies last. School children must be present to receive the school supplies. A food truck will be available. Watch for updates as the date approaches regarding the movie that will be shown. 

November 2015

Ward 6 Shredding Event and Pharmaceutical Drug Collection
Saturday, Nov. 14, 10 a.m. to noon.
Free and open to the public.
Centennial Hills Community Center/YMCA, 6601 N. Buffalo Drive, East Parking Lot.
Bring your personal papers that need to be shredded. Complimentary shredding takes place in the Centennial Hills Community Center east parking lot. Limit of five boxes per vehicle. This is a safe and convenient way to get rid of old documents. In addition, bring your unwanted pharmaceutical drugs for proper disposal by our city marshals.

December 2015

Ward 6 Cowboy Christmas and Car Show
Saturday, Dec. 5, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Free and open to the public.
Floyd Lamb Park at Tule Springs, 9200 Tule Springs Road, 702-229-8100.
Bring your family to join Councilman Steve Ross at Floyd Lamb Park at Tule Springs Park to celebrate the holiday season.  Families will enjoy a classic car show, hay rides, a petting zoo, jump house, local entertainment/choirs, holiday elf contest and a visit from Santa. Join Councilman Steve Ross in helping local charities in our area bring food, toys and clothing to people in need.
