August 2014

Back-to-School Fair and Movie in the Park
Friday, Aug. 8, 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.
Free and open to the public.
Centennial Hills Park 7101 N. Buffalo Drive (at Deer Springs Road).
Join Councilman Ross for the Back-to-School Fair and Movie in the Park.  Free school supplies and binders will be given out while supplies last. Light refreshments and beverages will be provided.  Enjoy a balloon artist, face painters and jump house, and the PG-rated movie "Despicable Me 2." 

Coffee with the Mayor
Thursday, Aug. 21, 8 to 9:30 a.m.
Waffles Cafe, 6446 N. Durango Drive, Suite 150, at Centennial Parkway
Join Mayor Carolyn G. Goodman for coffee and conversation about what you can do to improve our city. This event will be held in Ward 6 and Councilman Steve Ross is scheduled to attend. Coffee with the Mayor is an opportunity for residents who have issues to discuss, or would simply like to meet the mayor.

Movie in the Park
Friday, Sept. 19, 7 p.m.
Free admission and open to the public.
Centennial Hills Park Amphitheatre, 7101 N. Buffalo Drive, at Deer Springs Way.
Enjoy the animated family film "The Nut Job" in the park. Bring your blankets or folding chairs.

October 2014

Movie in the Park
Friday, Oct. 24, 6:30 p.m.
Free admission and open to the public.

Enjoy a family film in the park. Bring your blankets or folding chairs.

November 2014

Ward 6 Free Shredding Event
Saturday, Nov. 15, 10 a.m. to noon.
Centennial Hills Active Adult Center, 6601 N. Buffalo Drive.
Bring your documents that need to be shredded. Complimentary shredding takes place in the Centennial Hills Community Center east parking lot. Limit of five boxes per vehicle. This is a safe and convenient way to get rid of old documents.

December 2014

Ward 6 Cowboy Christmas and Car Show
Saturday, Dec. 6, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Free and open to the public.
Floyd Lamb Park at Tule Springs, 9200 Tule Springs Road, (702) 229-8100.
Bring your family to join Councilman Steve Ross at Floyd Lamb Park at Tule Springs to celebrate the holiday season. Families will enjoy hay rides, a petty zoo, balloon artist, jump house and a visit from Santa. Bring your donations and join Councilman Ross in helping local charities with  food, toys and clothing for people in need.
