Ward 6 Shredding & Prescription Medication Disposal Event
Saturday, May 10, 10 a.m. to noon.
Free and open to the public.
Centennial Hills Active Adult Center, 6601 N. Buffalo Drive, (702) 229-1702.
Bring your documents that need to be shredded. Complimentary shredding takes place in the Centennial Hills Community Center Active Adult Center east parking lot. Limit of five boxes per vehicle. This is a safe and convenient way to get rid of old documents.

Do you have unused, expired prescriptions or over-the-counter medication that you don’t know what to do with?  We will be collecting these medications to dispose of them properly.

2nd Annual Children's Arts Festival
Saturday, May 31, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Free admission.
Centennial Hills Park, 7101 N. Buffalo Drive, at Deer Springs Way.
The city of Las Vegas invites residents to enjoy this family festival that features music, entertainment and fun art activities for children and adults. Participate in make-and-take art activities, face painting, dance and movement activities with DJ Tony, and performances by community groups. The festival will include a marketplace with an eclectic mix of local, family-oriented businesses, organizations and food vendors.

Join Councilman Ross and the Department of Wildlife for a free fishing day. Look for updates on this event as the date gets closer.

Back-to-School Fair and Movie in the Park
Friday, Aug. 8, 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.
Free and open to the public.
Centennial Hills Park 7101 N. Buffalo Drive (at Deer Springs Road).
Join Councilman Ross for the Back-to-School Fair and Movie in the Park.  Free school supplies and binders will be given out while supplies last. Light refreshments and beverages will be provided.  Enjoy a balloon artist, face painters and jump house.  Look for updates regarding the movie that will be shown.

Ward 6 Cowboy Christmas and Car Show
Saturday, Dec. 6, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Bring your family to join Councilman Steve Ross at Floyd Lamb Park at Tule Springs to celebrate the holiday season. Families will enjoy hay rides, a petty zoo, balloon artist, jump house and a visit from Santa. Bring your donations and join Councilman Ross in helping local charities with  food, toys and clothing for people in need.
