Ward 6 Capital Improvement Projects

Ann Road SID – Leggett Road and Cimarron Drive
Install offsite improvements for five parcels on Ann Road between Leggett and Cimarron. Improvements will include pavement, curb, gutter, sidewalk, streetlights and driveways.
Est. start: 3rd quarter 2010
Est. completion:  2nd quarter 2011
(There is an ARRA Stimulus project being done on Ann Road from U.S. 95 to Durango by Field Operations that we are combining with this project to minimize the impact to the constituents by incorporating as a single project).

Elkhorn Springs and Buffalo Storm Drain
Storm drain from Farm and Buffalo, south in the Buffalo Drive to Elkhorn Springs Detention Basin.
Est. start: 3rd quarter 2010
Est. construction complete: 2nd quarter 2011

Gowan Outfall – Lone Mountain Branch (Rancho to Decatur)
Storm drain that extends along Lone Mountain Road from Rancho Drive to Decatur Boulevard with appurtenant facilities in Rancho from Lone Mountain Road to Rainbow Boulevard
Est Construction Start: 1st quarter 2010
Est Construction End: 2nd quarter 2012

Kyle Canyon Interchange at U.S. 95
Project placed on hold due to funding
Alternatives analysis, traffic study, change of access request, right of way, preliminary interchange design, bridge design, drainage report and construction cost estimate for an interchange at Kyle Canyon Road and U.S. 95. Will be looking at need and alternatives due to decrease in density with the Kyle Canyon project.

Las Vegas Wash Middle Branch-Decatur/Elkhorn
The basic improvements on Decatur from Centennial Parkway to Elkhorn and on Elkhorn Road from Torrey Pines to Decatur Boulevard shall consist of flood water facilities including pipes, channels, dikes, energy, channel structures, channel access and other appurtenances. Est. project start: 4th quarter 2010
Est. completion: 2nd quarter 2012

North and South Environmental Enhancement Areas at Floyd Lamb Park
Design of two detention basins including the design of the El Capitan Storm Drain from Racel street to Horse Drive and the widening of El Capitan Way at Racel Street will be widened with this project.  This project also includes approximately 4.3 miles of trail amenities within and around the detention basins.
Est. Hauling completion date: March, 2011
Est. completion 4th quarter 2011

Regional Public Safety Facility
Programming and Design Phase for Homeland Security facilities.  Interagency development will included combined emergency dispatch, intelligence fusion/critical infrastructure protection, and Las Vegas emergency operations center management.
Deer Springs & Shaumber (On-hold for funding)

Sheep Mountain Parkway Environmental Impact Statement (EIS)
Pre-design for Sheep Mountain Parkway (Beltway) to U.S. 95
A 10 lane roadway with transit and full offsites.
Design being considered for an arterial roadway.

Teton Park Phase IIII (Grand Teton/Bradley)
Fourth Phase of a multiple phase park development, consisting of landscape improvements surrounding two previously constructed athletic fields, on-site lighted pedestrian pathways, and shade shelters. 
Est. Project Start: 2nd Quarter 2011
Est. Project Completion:  4th Quarter 2011

Tropical/Durango (Raptor Play Park) Phase II
The second phase of the play park will be starting design soon. This project will complete the remaining grass area, the street and flood control improvements on Tropical Parkway, the sidewalk and median improvements in Durango Drive, and may include a display area in the park.
Est. Project Start:  4th Quarter 2011
Est. Project Completion:  2nd Quarter 2012

Clark County Public Work Projects In Ward 6
Centennial Hills Interchange (I-215 / U.S. 95 Interchange)
Estimated start date – 2017
Estimated completion -   unfunded at this time
