Get Out Of The Heat And Enjoy Films Throughout The Summer

The entire family is invited to get out of the heat and enjoy a summer flick for free. Throughout the summer, the Department of Leisure Services will host both family and Spanish-language films at the East Las Vegas Community Senior Center.

Family films will be shown at 2 p.m. on Thursdays at the center, located at 250 Eastern Avenue. The film series begins on Thursday, June 15, with the first “Harry Potter” movie. The three other films in the “Harry Potter” series will be shown over the next three weeks. The series continues on July 13 with “Lemony Snicket’s A Series Of Unfortunate Events” and ends on July 20 with “Finding Nemo.”

A six-week series of Spanish-language films will also begin on Thursday, June 15. The films will be shown at 7 p.m. every Thursday at the East Las Vegas Community Senior Center. The films continue through Thursday, July 20.
