New Traffic Light Improves Traffic Flow

Mayor Pro Tem Gary Reese recently switched on a new traffic signal at the intersection of Washington Avenue and Marion Drive. The new traffic signal is a welcome sight at the intersection, which now has 16,000 cars pass through it each day. The signal will enhance public safety and traffic flow, and be especially helpful with controlling traffic during afternoon hours around two nearby schools – Ira Earl Elementary School and Robison Middle School.

This is the seventh new traffic signal to be installed within the city since the beginning of the year.
