Seniors Have A Wide Range Of Activities And Classes To Choose From This Summer

Seniors have many opportunities this summer to have fun, learn a new skill and make some new friends. The city’s seven senior centers offer a wide variety of classes and activities for individuals age 50 and older. This summer’s offerings include some new topics and instructors.

Some of the new classes include watercolor painting, porcelain doll making, sewing 101 and Ebay instruction classes. Opportunities to socialize include the Red Hat social club and a number of book clubs.

The centers also offer a number of exciting day trips. Seniors can go stargazing in Red Rock, enjoy a lunch and tour at the Pahrump Winery and relax while viewing a play at Spring Mountain Ranch.

Classes and activities are offered at a variety of times and range in price from free for card clubs and exercise classes to $35 for a horseback riding excursion.
