Beltway Improvements Promise Relief For City Travelers

Clark County is moving forward with the build-out of the beltway from Summerlin Parkway to Craig Road. Councilman Larry Brown recently attended an event to celebrate the start of this final phase of construction for this stretch of the beltway.

The $44.4-million project will include bringing the stretch of the beltway from Summerlin Parkway to Craig Road to full freeway configuration. An interchange at Cheyenne Avenue will also be constructed.

When finished in 2007, the completed stretch of the beltway will ease traffic congestion and provide an alternative route for commuters.
