New Artwork Adorns Wall Of Mirabelli Community Center

A flower garden, honey bees and butterflies can now be found at the Mirabelli Community Center, but you won’t find them outside the facility. They are part of a new metal and glass sculpture “A Place To Grow,” which is set behind the reception desk of the center to welcome visitors. “A Place To Grow” celebrates the role of the center as a place for children to develop their roots and grow into adulthood.

The sculpture is the work of artists Barbara and Larry Domsky, who have custom glass works in various national and international locations including the Bellago Hotel and Casino.

The theme of the sculpture falls in line with the Domsky’s support of children in southern Nevada. The Domskys head a local foundation, the Giggle Factory, which developed and maintains an art program at a local hospital. The Domskys donated the labor for this project, with the materials being funded by the Las Vegas Arts Commission.

The Mirabelli Community Center is located at 6200 Elton Avenue.
