Book Festival Comes To Downtown Las Vegas

Grab the kids and head downtown to the Target Children’s Book Festival, which will be held on Saturday, Nov. 4, from noon to 4 pm. The event will be held in downtown Las Vegas at the Lewis Street Corridor and Centennial Plaza located at 4th Street and Lewis Avenue. Free transportation shuttles will depart every half hour from the East Las Vegas Community Senior Center and the West Las Vegas Arts Center.
The event will feature a number of fun activities for the entire family. In addition to celebrity readings and book exchanges, there will be balloon artists, local children’s book authors, face painters, live theatrical performances, book giveaways and visits by some popular animated characters.
The Target Children’s Book Festival is a program of the Vegas Valley Book Festival, which is presented by Nevada Humanities and the city of Las Vegas Office of Cultural Affairs. The Vegas Valley Book Festival runs Friday, November 3, to Saturday, November 4, and is centered in downtown Las Vegas.
