Councilman Wolfson's Project Volunteer Event

April 2009 - Angie Horn, Nicole Eddowes and Marco Velotta volunteered to help middle and high school students find volunteer opportunities on Earth Day.

April 22, 2009 - Councilman Wolfson welcomes students to Project Volunteer, an event which helped match more than 500 attendees with over 70 different nonprofits.

Earth Day Celebration at UNLV

April 22, 2009 (Earth Day) Paul Grimyser represented the city of Las Vegas and CELEBRATE at the 2009 Earth Day Fair at the University of Nevada - Las Vegas (UNLV). More than 500 students and teachers from the Clark County School District attended the Earth Day Fair and met with representatives from several local organizations.

The Climate Project - Jan. 29, 2009
Eric L. Torres, the southwest district manager of the Climate Project spoke to staff from the Planning & Development, Public Works, Fire Prevention Services and Building & Safety Departments. The Climate Project has presented to four million people worldwide about climate change and sharing information about potential solutions to preserve and balance the earth’s climate.
