Following its appearance before a review panel, NHC was recommended to serve as the medical provider and worked closely with the city to negotiate terms of the agreement. If approved, the agreement provides for a five-year primary term with two option terms of one year each. Terms will commence on the first day of the month following the date that Landlord obtains temporary certificate of occupancy for the Building Improvements, currently estimated to be November 1, 2021. In addition, the agreement provides for a termination of the agreement for no reason. NHC is designated as a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) and is a large provider of primary care for the uninsured, underinsured and geographically isolated people in the state with eighteen health clinics, three mobile health programs and seven Women, Infants, and Children offices.

On February 6, 2019, City Council approved the Neon Sign Maintenance Agreement between the City and Downtown Project (DTP) for maintenance of the restored signs. The restoration and maintenance work is funded by the remaining Commission for the Las Vegas Centennial grant funds. If approved, Vision Sign Inc. will restore the Fremont Motel sign for an amount not to exceed $90,013 (inclusive of permitting fees). Agenda Item 37 – Schools Supplies for Parking Tickets: On July 18, 2016, the City Council adopted Bill No. 2016-34, authorizing the establishment and operation of an occasional program by which fines for qualifying parking infractions may be paid by means of the donation of food items, children’s toys or school supplies. This program requires city council approval to activate, and Parking Services requests activation of a temporary program allowing a recipient of a qualifying parking infraction issued between June 1 and June 30, 2020, to donate a new, unwrapped school supply of equal or greater value than the ticket fine, from June 1, 2020, through July 30, 2020. The recipient of the donations will be The Teacher EXCHANGE, a local 501(c)3 organization that provides resources to Southern Nevada public school teachers.
Agenda Item 40 – Schools Supplies for Parking Tickets: If approved, this bill will authorize the establishment of one or more temporary programs to allow certain types of businesses with an alcoholic beverage license and a restaurant license to offer and provide the delivery or the curbside pickup of alcoholic beverages in connection with the delivery or pickup of food by a customer who has placed an order therefor. The purpose of the bill is to try to help reduce the impact of business restrictions that have been imposed as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
