The only active duty Air Force Band west of the Rockies, the U.S. Air Force Band of the Golden West consists of 60 talented Airmen-musicians stationed at Travis Air Force Base. The Travis Brass quintet is one of its several ensembles that have been delighting audiences in the Western U.S. for several decades. Featuring two trumpets, a horn, a euphonium and a tuba, these five professionals are dedicated to telling the story of the Air Force through music. Travis Brass works in support of the 60th Air Mobility Wing, an integral part of America's humanitarian response to natural disasters at home and abroad.
The group demonstrates amazing virtuosity, marvelous showmanship and a charming personality that delivers a patriotic spirit. Their concert chronicles the Air Force story by celebrating our country's heritage, honoring our veterans and representing our troops with the excellence and dignity, they deserve.
