One of the many things that makes downtown Las Vegas so popular is the boutique shops and restaurants. These places offer unique gifts, and every purchase helps keep small business owners thriving.

On Saturday, Nov. 30, to encourage residents to shop locally for Small Business Saturday, the city of Las Vegas will offer free on-street metered parking in downtown Las Vegas, including in the Las Vegas 18b Arts District.

On-street meter parking will be free in the downtown area including in the 18b Las Vegas Arts District. Free parking will allow customers to support local stores and restaurants, whether it’s dining in, shopping in-store or picking-up orders.

7 ways to support local this holiday season and all-year round:

-Spend time learning about local businesses. Share these businesses with friends and family and even on your social media sites.

-Love a local business? Write them a review!

-Purchase holiday gifts from local businesses and vendors. Many stores have an online presence whether website or Etsy shop and some are even doing curbside pickup.

-Buy gift cards to gift or use yourself at a later date.

-Use a local print shop for holiday cards.

-Make holiday meals from local ingredients from your neighborhood farmers’ market.

-Don’t want to cook? Order holiday meals from your favorite restaurants.
