Downtown

Downtown Las Vegas

Las Vegas is known for its world-class cuisine, casinos, bright lights and entertainment. This fast-paced, but community-oriented city also has many activities for locals and tourists outside of the Las Vegas Strip.

Downtown Las Vegas is different from the Las Vegas Strip. Art focused, hip and unique are some of the ways it’s often described. The vibe is much different here with interesting options for dining, cocktails and more.

The 18b Arts District

The Arts District, is one of the jewels of downtown Las Vegas. The area is eclectic, featuring some of the finest cuisines, popular street food, art, bars, clothing stores and other shops that sell handmade goods.

Main Street

In the 18B Las Vegas Arts District is an open, walkable area where visitors can enjoy restaurants, bars and shopping.

Brewery Row

Brewery Row also calls the Arts District home. In an effort to join the craft beer movement, prominent in cities all over the country, we have launched Brewery Row in downtown Las Vegas where a natural cluster of craft brewers have already been creating and serving. Plans for the area include adding “Brewery Row” wayfinding banners in front of the designated business as part of the city’s newly launched district banner program.

Fremont East

The Fremont East Entertainment District is a multi-block entertainment area marked by retro-looking neon signs, several motels and motor courts, dozens of bars, dining and retail venues and the historic El Cortez Hotel & Casino. This pedestrian-friendly area has become a downtown “hotspot” in recent years.

The Fremont Street Experience

The Fremont Street Experience is a pedestrian mall and attraction that covers five city blocks with direct access to eight downtown hotel casinos. Besides being an entertainment walkway connecting most of the hotel and casinos downtown, the outdoor space features a zipline, outdoor bars, restaurants, a stage for live musical entertainment and a bevy of permitted street performers.

Gateway District

Illuminated arches that are 80-feet-tall now form a gateway to downtown Las Vegas. They are located on Las Vegas Boulevard between St. Louis and Bob Stupak avenues at the base of The STRAT Hotel, Casino & SkyPod. You can even catch the perfect photo from the observation deck.

A short distance from the gateway arches is the showgirl sign that features dice, poker chips stacked high enough to sit on, a roulette wheel, the city of Las Vegas logo and 26-foot tall showgirls. Elements of the sign light up so it’s gorgeous in the daytime or at night. Bonus – this hidden gem on Las Vegas Boulevard next to The Strat is hardly ever as crowded as most of the other outdoor spots. This photography spot out-Vegases any other selfie spot in the city. The sign is located at 1810 Las Vegas Blvd. South, 89104.
